The deeper water surrounding the island is a dark cobalt blue. As we approached Plana Cay, the depths decrease and the colors of the water begin changing to every hue of blue, green, turquoise, white, and amber to crystal clear - void of color. These ever changing colors in the water are the result of the blending of coral reefs, coral heads, white sand bottom, grass covered bottoms, Caribbean sun, blue skies, and clouds. The beach is so white it seems surreal -- this is a magical place.

As I walked the windward beaches of the island I began finding colorful gems of the sea that had washed ashore. The sea glass I use to create my jewelry has been crafted by nature into unique shapes, sizes, and textures. The natural beauty of these gems makes each piece a unique creation. By using sea glass as the centerpiece, sterling silver, and glass beads representing the colors of the sea, the sky, and the beach, I have been able to capture in a small way, the natural and unspoiled beauty that can still be found on a remote island in the Bahamas.
